The microphone arm was designed to provide users with as much flexibility as possible. The metal C-clamp is large enough to fit onto surfaces up to 1.9in thick,and the pressure can be adjusted quickly and easily using the metal spindle. The clamp is padded to prevent damage to the surface it's attached to as well. The arm can extend up to 33in. At the end of the mic arm is a nut with 3/8inx16 threading, with a 3/8in to 5/8in adapter included, so a wide range of microphone clips and shock mounts can be used. Tension adjustments are located at all pivot points. This ensures that your boom stand stays in any position you set it to, allowing you the freedom and comfort to move around while keeping the mic in front of you. The scissor boom stand is ready to work for you right out of the box, with a 9.5 ft mini USB cable pre-installed. 3 ft of cable is integrated into the scissor stand, leaving over 6 ft of cable to interface with your computer or recording hardware.
